The story behind Control Metrics, and why we are offering a free version of our solutions to small business owners.

I’m Sam, the founder of Control Metrics. I built the company to help small businesses make better use of technology through practical, customized solutions that simplify processes, reduce repetitive work, and save time.

But the reason we’re taking this mission in a new direction is very personal.

It started at home.

I’m also a husband and a father. When our daughter was born, I saw firsthand how much my wife had on her plate. While taking care of our baby, she was also trying to keep up with her photography business and online sales. There simply weren’t enough hours in the day.

So I took a closer look at how she was running her business. I learned about her daily routines, the repetitive tasks, and the challenges she faced with her customers. Then I started building simple, customized solutions to make her work easier and give her more time.

A baby was born

What I learned.

Having access to technology doesn’t mean knowing how to use it.

There are countless tools, apps, and AI solutions available today, but most small business owners don’t have the time, or the desire, to become technology experts. They started their businesses because they are good at what they do.

Control Metrics already existed, but this experience changed the way I saw its purpose.
